About CDPRR
The Centre for Disaster Preparedness, Recovery & Research (CDPRR) provides integrated disaster risk reduction solutions using GIS, remote sensing, drones, AI and data analytics. We support government agencies and communities in disaster preparedness, response and sustainable recovery through advanced technology, research, capacity building, community preparedness, training and evidence-based recovery planning.
At CDPRR, we give communities, governments and organisations the knowledge, tools and resources they need to manage disasters effectively. Our multidisciplinary approach combines research, practical solutions and partnerships that strengthen resilience and support sustainable development.
Through risk assessments and mapping, we identify vulnerabilities and design targeted mitigation strategies. Our community-based programmes train local people through sessions, awareness campaigns and drills, so they are ready to respond to emergencies.
After a disaster, CDPRR supports recovery planning, the rebuilding of infrastructure, the restoration of essential services and livelihood recovery. We also run capacity-building workshops and training for emergency responders, healthcare professionals and community leaders to improve preparedness and response.
