Prof (Dr) Rakesh Kumar Sharma
– Founder Member & Academic Director
Professor (Dr) Rakesh Kumar Sharma, a renowned academician and disaster management expert, holds credentials in pharmaceutical sciences. He has served in leadership roles at esteemed institutions and contributed significantly to CBRN defense guidelines. Recognised globally, he’s among the World’s Top 2% scientists and has launched impactful medicines. Dr. Sharma, an Honorary Professor and Adjunct Professor, mentors budding scientists. With a prolific publication record, numerous patents, and international collaborations, his contributions to academia and disaster preparedness are commendable.
Mr. Rakesh Jha
– Founder & Executive Director
Rakesh Jha brings extensive expertise in various domains, encompassing sales, marketing (both online and offline), business development, operations, administration, and journalism. Apart from his role at the Center for Disaster Preparedness, Recovery & Research (CDPRR), Rakesh also manages Playzone Media Management Pvt Ltd and ResQore Technologies Pvt Ltd. Rakesh has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sharp N India, a company based in Noida that specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of gifts, accessories, stationery, and garments for four years. Before his tenure at Sharp N India, Rakesh pursued a career in media for over 17 years, contributing to both print and web media platforms. He has worked with renowned national newspapers such as The Times of India, Hindustan Times, Deccan Chronicle, and The Statesman.
Mr. Biswajit Sahoo
– Director of Communication, Training and Capacity Building
Biswajit Sahoo is a seasoned professional in management and communication, boasting rich expertise in project, content, and knowledge management. With a niche in digital communications, media handling, and innovative initiatives, he excels in content creation, planning, and seamless execution. His forte lies in stakeholder relations, client engagement, tailored capacity building, and corporate communications. Known for fostering relationships, adept people management, creative visualization, and conflict resolution, he is skilled in project planning across diverse sectors. Specializing in project development, knowledge and strategy management, social development, and digital media consultancy, his expertise spans content services in various forms, from news to electronic and print media, and encompassing public relations.
Mr. Himanshu Tripathi
– CTO
With over 15 years of extensive expertise in the IT industry, including web and mobile applications, Himanshu Tripathi serves as the head of IT operations at Center for Disaster Preparedness, Recovery & Research (CDPRR). In his role, he effectively strategises, organises, and executes the Centre’s technical initiatives, oversees production releases and rollouts, delegates tasks to the appropriate staff members, and delivers comprehensive presentations on project progress and outcomes. Himanshu holds a Master’s degree in Computer Application from Manipal University and embarked on his professional journey as a Web Developer, gaining valuable experience while collaborating with numerous multinational corporations. His unwavering passion for technology, coupled with a strong entrepreneurial drive, motivated him to establish his own venture early on in his career.
